Season Outlook

Well ladies and gentleman, you don't mind if I say 'ladies', do you? Why might I say that? If you haven't heard the Premier Source Soccer league has became a league of diversity. One veteran girl returns, Magz (ConQur), but she is followed by newcomers donuts of (mK.), Tiffany, and Starbuck of (G.O.)! An even more exciting statistic is the 10 'rookies' the league will get to see this season, a mixture of new players and some veterans who have never appeared in a season. Nevertheless, a successful draft looks forward to a promising season ahead. The draft was extremely exciting, let's hope the season and our new 'livecasts' make this season the best yet. Let's take at some of my pre-season predictions.

Team Predictions

Favorite to Win Regular Season: ConQur

    - 'I've thought about this one for a little bit and i'm pretty much set on ConQur. Looking through all the rosters and breaking them down this is the most depth-talented team. Minus Racine having computer problems, there is not a weak link on this team, besides Weef on an off day (24 days of the month). If you look at the offensive side of the ball you have interchangable wing pairs that have good chemistry (Warcat, Kro, Magz, KC, & BJ as a reliable sub on both sides of the ball). While on the defensive side of the ball you have a solid goalkeeper, currently on a winning streak of championships. His back line may be a little in-experienced at times with the great rookie ChickenWaffles, however he is one of my sleeper surprises this season. Great utility players everywhere and three great centers in Panda, Warcat, and Kro. I think they can scrounge up more wins in the regular season than any other team with the the only problem may be inactivity.

Favorite to Win Playoffs: Magical Knives

    -  Usually if you feel strongly about a team winning a championship, you'd say "yeah! they're going to win their conference/division and the title!" Yes, I feel strongly about the ability of ConQur to throw more wins together than any other team. However, stringing together wins is another story. I believe with the leadership of Stinger and the play of Lonewolf and their potent front line, they'll take the playoffs by storm. The overall talent in their inactive team members will most likely come together at the end of the season for when it counts, the playoffs. Bazooka Joe, Stinger, Lonewolf, and Shaggy will be a hard combination to stop no matter who else you throw in the lineup at that point. One person filling that spot at the end season in theory is Donuts. The rookie has been impressive in pugs and will thrive with the supporting cast around her.

The 'Final Four':

1. ConQur

2. G.O.

3. Magical Knives

4. One

Highest Scoring Teams:

1. Magical Knives (65 goals)

2. Conqur (61 goals)

3. One (54 goals)

Most Transfers: Unique

    - Tactics and Skyrim will most definitely have to do some moving around, rather it be in free agents or in trade. This is due to the different types of personalities and maybe some of the inactivity in the heart of the team.

Most Forfeits: Unique

    - Almost for the same reason as "Most Transfers" due to the inactvity. At this current time it doesn't look so good, unless ofcourse Tactics and Sky pull some nice trades off!

Player Predictions

Through the years we've lost a lot of veterans and some have stuck around. You've lost classic SvP (minus BJ and Panda), but classic GGA is still around (Lonewolf, Stinger, Fatal, Spock, Kansas). You still have some leet feet around the bend and most of DooM. Some shipshape members still roll around these days. We've lost alot of our dYn guys. Nevertheless, we still play and the style we play changes by the month. We've adjusted to an update and different physics, we've adjusted to new maps and different balls. Our North American Soccer League has taken mistaken trips to the XSL, mass changes in leadership. Yet, here we are, rebuilding what we do for fun when get the chance. People leave hating the game, only to come back to play some more. New players are starting to roll around and during the winter I expect some veterans to come back like always. This draft season includes some explosive and experienced veterans and also has talented rookies and younger players. Here are my player predictions for the PSL Season 3!

Most Goals:

1. LoneWolf (33)

2. Kro (25)

3. Shadow (24)

    - You almost expect Lonewolf to be on top considering he has won the 'Golden Boot' in our leagues so many times even he has lost count. I expect with his other general manager and good friend Stinger, he'll do the same yet again. The reason I put Kro and Shadow in the top three is because I believe those two are going to be on the teams with the most fire power. Kro has been explosive in pugs and you can't count out his ability to pass either. Shadow is always a lethal scorer, if he shows up to matches, he will get his goals.

Most Assists:

1. Stinger (28)

2. Kro (27)

3. Dursac (23)

    - Stinger on top due to his topshot center Lonewolf and possibly a Shaggy on the other side. Then as I mentioned in the 'Most Goals' explanation I picked Kro due to how well he can pass from the center position or where ever he is on the field. Dursac rounds of the top 3 with his ability to see the field and be patient. Patience is a virtue!!

Sleepers:

1) ChickenWaffles

2) MichaelV

3) Donuts

  - I really don't have much of an explanation other from what I have witnessed in pugs. However, I believe these three players will become a crucial asset to their teams down the stretch.

Duds:

1) Weef

2) Mitch

3) Shaggy

    - These are really hard to pick because people can go inactive or impress over the season. Weef, I really don't see being very active, same goes with Shaggy. Weef struggles alot on wing at times and will force the wall too much, however he can be good in the air. Mitch on the other hand I see as going too high in the draft, too early. Sometimes passing up the option to 'pass' to shoot can be a bad vibe for a team. If he can prove himself to dominate, then rest in piece my argument.

Most likely to be MVP: Lonewolf

    - For reasons I don't have to explain. It feels like we are watching the same episode over and over. Who is up for the challenge to dethrone him this season?
